Loknayak Jai Prakash Institute Of Technology spread over 40
acres of land LNJPIT would be the 7th government Engineering College in the
state.The plan is to make it a state of the art technology center and research
hub. The first session was commence from 08/09/2012 with an intake of 240
students in four streams of engineering viz. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and
Electronics, and Computer science and Engineering.

-Hostel facilities to all students
LNJPIT provides state of the art hostel facility for its
students. There are total seven hostels including a newly built girls' hostel.
All the hostels are well maintained and are equipped with all the modern
facilities like telephones, color television, common rooms, ward servants,
in-house games room and canteens.
With the intake of about 200 students every year, the total
strength of students in the institute is about 900. Altogether there are seven
hostels, providing accommodation to all students. All three, hostel No.-1,2 and hostel for girls are
located within the campus. . There are single seated rooms which are normally
allocated to final year and pre-final year boarders. Multi-seated accommodation
constitute 2-seated & 3-Seated rooms which are allotted to the students of
1st & 2nd year. The hostel environment is very favorable for study.
The administration of hostels is under the supervision of
following professors:-
-Separate hostels for boys and girls
-equipped workshop and lab building
- Well equipped Library with e-journals
LNJPIT has a well-maintained library equipped with thousands
of books related all streams of engineering. The books related to literature,
art, current affairs, etc. contribute to vital part of its large collection.
It has rightly been said that the soul of a technical
college lies in its library & laboratories. In this contest, LNJPIT is
fortunate enough to have a quite rich, compact and well organized library. The
library has unique collection of some 15000 foreign and Indian journals in
various branches of engineering and has more than 35000 of text and reference
books. In addition to these, a general book bank is functioning with nearly
10000 books for all students and a welfare book bank having nearly 16000 books.
The working hour of library is the same as that of the college but seminar
section also operates during late evening hour. To encourage inclination
towards studies, fully air-conditioned reading room is there and uninterrupted
power supply is maintained by means of generators of the institute. A number of
magazines and newspapers is also provided along with the curriculum books in
the reading room.
